We are now looking for a local strategist to work with local supply within the Health and Medical Care Administration.

The unit for Safety, Environment, and Local Supply is part of the Operations and Management Support staff, which is a part of the management of the Health and Medical Care Administration. Our mission is to support the Administration's five areas: Specialized Care, Close Care, Psychiatry, Research and Education, and Staff. The unit is responsible for the strategic work aimed at providing the Health and Medical Care with suitable premises in the future. Safety, Environment, and Local Supply currently has a unit manager and eight employees, of which two are local strategists.

Our local strategists conduct feasibility studies and provide support to area managers and their management teams in decision-making and direction. We primarily work in the early stages when the need for local adaptations arises within healthcare operations. We also drive the local processes where decisions and priorities for local investments are made. Your mission is to support the healthcare operations in matters concerning local supply. This includes existing premises, rentals, renovations, and new construction projects.

Your role is to assess, investigate, and create documentation and feasibility studies for further decisions in the local processes that exist within the administration. You meet representatives of the healthcare operations in their daily work and together with them make assessments and planning to develop and adapt their premises. In larger projects, in the early stages, you may also hold the role of project manager/project leader.

Within the unit, we support each other and discuss questions and solutions, but towards the healthcare operations, you work independently. Your work also takes place in close collaboration with property owners, including Regionservice properties, which are the recipients of our construction and local assignments. You also collaborate with consultants, including architects, to develop feasibility studies. In your role, you will also prepare and act as an expert at the regular local forums that are part of your areas. You are an obvious part of the Property and Local Council that prepares decisions for the Health and Medical Care Director. The role also includes conducting development and change work, collaborating with other administrations within Region Örebro County, as well as representing the administration in internal and external networks and participating in various projects. The tasks may vary according to the needs of the healthcare operations.

A relevant university degree or equivalent competence that the employer assesses as equivalent in property/construction and/or in healthcare is required for the position. In your role, you need to combine basic knowledge of how healthcare is conducted with knowledge of construction and local issues. It is meritorious if you have experience working in public operations, in a healthcare profession, or have held leadership positions.

We are looking for someone who is structured, driven, results-oriented but also attentive and collaborative. You should have very good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and you should feel comfortable speaking in front of larger and smaller groups. You should have the ability to see opportunities and find solutions, as well as have a humble yet clear approach to problem-solving. We need you to independently and professionally manage change work while contributing to continued good delivery!
